The "shot heard 'round the world," a phrase popularized by Ralph Waldo Emerson in his poem "Concord Hymn," refers to the first shots fired at the Battles of Lexington and Concord on April 19, 1775, which marked the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.

8:00 am - Short historical perspective on what the 'Shot Heard Around The World' means and why it is important to us.
8:10 am - Safety Brief and range assignments for shooters; range will go hot following safety brief so that shooters can uncase their firearms and make ready.
8:25 am - Announcement of 5-minutes until firing of firearms.
8:30 am - Simultaneous firing by all shooters or for the first volley if there are too many shooters for all to fire at once. Shooters will go to safe condition following their respective firearm discharge.
8:45 am - Range cold, all firearms secured; participants leave range.
Patches will be ordered for those wanting one. They are $10 each; there will be a picture on display when you sign in for the event.
When complete, pistol match may continue under its Shootmaster
