PRE-REQUISITE - MUST HAVE COMPLETED BASIC - EFFECTIVE USE OF COVER / UNORTHODOX SHOOTING POSITIONS PRIOR TO ENROLLING IN THIS CLASS

Intermediate Effective Use of Cover / Unorthodox Shooting Positions

5 PM - 8:30 PM in the Pistol Pit

$30 for members, $60 for non-members

We will go further into the proper use of cover, and how to use cover and movement using the firearm of your choice (pistol/rifle/shotgun).

You will need the firearm of your choice (pistol/rifle/shotgun) and approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, bring more if you have an itchy trigger finger. Please arrive with several magazines / speed loaders loaded. Leave one magazine completely empty so we can start off with a little dry fire for safety purposes.  

We will be shooting from sitting/standing/kneeling/side prone/laying on back and during movement to cover/movement from cover. If you have a shooting pad or large piece of cardboard you may want to bring that to use as a barrier between you and the ground. 

In ear hearing protection (ear plugs) is recommended for some of the shooting positions.

Remember, all firearms must be taken to the firing line in a bag, a case or a holster. Do not handle uncased/unholstered firearms anywhere else on the property, including at your car or behind the designated firing line. All handling will be under the direct supervision of a club certified RSO.

If you are using a long gun for the class please bring a chamber flag for use between drills.
